patio and bath

We have been working in our yard everyday this last week.  I love yard work.  I don't know why but it is so satisfying.  We planted several fruit and nut trees in addition to landscaping around our house.  Here are a couple of pics of the patio off of our bedroom that I have been working on completing and a sneak peek of our guest bath.  Serena and Lily made it very easy for me to finish that project!

be yourself...

Sorry for no posts lately.  I guess I have been busy?
Now that it is finally warm out I think my front door is going to get a high gloss makeover.
Thoughts?

neutral nursery

This time around our little nursery is going for a new look.  This is weird for me because I am a color girl! I love to accent with bright colors and patterns.  But this little nursery is going to be neutral, sophisticated, and beautiful.  I can't wait to bring in textures to warm it up.  All of these rooms above are adorable and have inspired my soon to be nursery.
Which reminds me that I need to get working on it...

Yummy salads

While browsing Pinterest...
I found this salad and it looks amazing!
 Recipe found here.
I am anxious to try it even though it calls for fish oil which terrifies me for some reason.  It just doesn't sound right but maybe it makes the salad?  I am going to try it out this weekend!

Also found this one which looks so summery and yummy!  And the blog it is from is called Patty's Food and she beautifully photographs every meal!

I am so over the heavy heart warming meals right now.  I want yummy salads and chocolate chip cookies!

rainy day

Another rainy day???  My husband has been busy building fence and sandbagging with his brother and the rest of the crew this week in hopes that we don't lose a major amount of farmland due to all of this crazy rain!  I just keep hoping for a "normal" year but those are few and far between in the farm world.
I am also worried about my garden!  I don't want what I have planted to rot!  So I am staying hopeful that it will all work out!
The good news is that I am now in my second trimester and feeling more and more like a normal person...
Except that normal people do not eat ice cream EVERY night after dinner! oops...
